Can I get my right to own a firearm back if I was Marchman or Baker Acted?
Hello, everyone! Welcome to another edition of our video newsletter.
In this video, I want to talk to you about your right to legally own a firearm in the state of Florida if you have been the respondent in a Marchman Act or a Baker Act.
We’re getting a lot of calls from people who believe that they were baker acted or marchman acted wrongfully. They have found out that their right to own a firearm legally in the state of Florida to get a concealed weapon permit has been taken away from them. They want to own a firearm legally. How does that work? Well, there’s a process and a procedure, and it involves petitioning the state to have that right returned to you. The state that took away that right needs to be challenged on the suspension or the removal of that right.
If you want to talk to us more about that, I have a lawyer on staff, a former colleague of mine. I want to ask the prosecutor who is handling these matters. We don’t charge first consult. Call us, and we’ll see if we can help you. Thanks again for tuning in.
Stay safe and be well.
